Publishing Policy

1. Publication Frequency

MLHI is a quarterly journal, publishing four issues per year (March, June, September, and December). Special issues may be announced periodically to highlight emerging topics in AI and human intelligence research.

2. Submission Exclusivity

  • Submitted manuscripts must represent original, unpublished work and may not be under consideration by any other journal or conference during MLHI’s review process.

  • Authors must notify the Editorial Office immediately if they wish to withdraw a submission.

  • Upon rejection, authors retain full rights to submit their work elsewhere.

3. Editorial Prioritization

  • While MLHI encourages submissions from new researchers, acceptance is based solely on scholarly merit, novelty, and alignment with the journal’s scope.

  • Exceptionally impactful work may be considered for consecutive issues, subject to approval by the Editor-in-Chief.

4. Manuscript Preparation

  • Submissions must adhere strictly to MLHI’s Author Guidelines (available on the journal website). Non-compliant manuscripts will be returned without review.

  • Poorly structured papers or those with significant language deficiencies will be rejected at the editorial desk stage. Professional editing is recommended prior to submission.

5. Corrections and Appeals

  • Author-initiated corrections: Requests for changes to authorship, affiliations, or critical content errors must be submitted in writing to the Editorial Office, with justification, prior to publication.

  • Journal errors: Corrections due to editorial or production mistakes will be addressed promptly via errata or corrigenda.

  • Complaints: Grievances related to the review process or editorial decisions must be submitted formally to the Editor-in-Chief via email, with documented evidence.

6. Ethical Compliance

MLHI adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. Plagiarism, data fabrication, or undisclosed conflicts of interest will result in immediate rejection or retraction.

7. Post-Publication

  • Published articles receive a DOI and are archived permanently in MLHI’s open-access repository.

  • Minor post-publication updates may be permitted with Editorial Board approval.
